Sustainability analysis

State-of-the-art: sustainability analysis methods consist of ecological, economic and social assessments. Methods for assessing the environmental impact of products and processes include eco-design and LCA, are widely available. These methods are covered by international standards such as ISO 14062 and ISO 14040/14044. Data processing is generally performed using commercial software (e.g. Umberto) and databases (e.g. Ecoinvent). Economic assessment consists of conducting an up to date market analysis and established methodologies, including MFCA (ISO 14051) and LCC (ISO 15686).
