Fastprocessobserver

The CLASCO project team is pleased to present fastprocessobserver, a high-speed laser process monitoring sensor designed for the demanding conditions of Direct Laser Interference Patterning (DLIP). The system supports the acquisition of process-relevant data during laser structuring and helps generate meaningful information for AI-based analysis, process understanding, and future decision-support functions within the CLASCO machine.

High-Speed Process Monitoring
Fastprocessobserver is designed for high-speed laser process monitoring during DLIP structuring. Since this process is characterized by extremely high processing speeds, the sensor provides the temporal resolution required to capture relevant process dynamics and support reliable process interpretation.
Data for AI-Based Models
Within the CLASCO machine, the sensor helps generate meaningful features for training and applying AI-based models. By capturing process data during laser structuring, it contributes to the data foundation needed for process monitoring, quality assessment, and decision-support functions.
Optical Sensor Integration
The system supports the integration of optical sensing approaches in the laser structuring process. Optical fibers mounted on the laser head can be used to collect process information, while off-axis and on-axis sensing concepts introduce additional requirements for precise synchronization and robust system design.
Robust Data Acquisition
The innovative contribution of fastprocessobserver lies in providing high-performance monitoring hardware for a process with demanding dynamics and temporal resolution requirements. By enabling synchronized and robust data acquisition, the sensor supports the development of AI-based process understanding within the CLASCO machine.
