The workshop gave important insights about state-of-the-art of beam shaping concepts for industrial laser applications. In particular, Lasagni introduced the concept of CLASCO project, aiming to develop a laser-based system, capable to combine laser polishing and direct laser interference patterning for the first time.

The workshop was organized at Fraunhofer IWS, in Dresden, Germany.
